Travel to a Madhabpur tea garden & listen to the Girls!
Few years back, It was really hard to talk about menstruation, especially at tea gardens it was absolutely unthinkable. But few adolescent girls live at Madhabpur tea garden broke this silence with their encouraging spirit of sports…!
It’s my pleasure to share about such a story which does not talk about the game, it is about the players who play football even during their menstruation!

This idea gives the girls a better chance of playing sports while having their menstruation. There were only few schools that had a separate toilet for girls this is a really bad idea because it doesn't give the girls enough privacy. 1 in 4 girls in rural areas miss school but 1 in 5 girls miss school in urban areas. 57 percent of women didn't hear about menstruation before their first time.
It's really amazing how these girls could play sports during their period. I am sure that these students have benefited a lot from the facilities their school provide for them. In the beginning the schools didn't have any facilities except for soap and water. Also, 1 in 4 girls didn't go to school but now, because the school provides many facilities, more students could attend school.
